Positive thoughts produce serotonin in the brain and make us feel good. To the contrary, negative thoughts produce cortisol (which has a negative impact on the body, such as inflammation). It has been proven that our positive, happy, optimistic thoughts reduce the cortisol.

While we may feel vulnerable to the thoughts that pop up, we are in control of the one’s we choose to focus on and repeat.

Reminding you today, what you say to yourself repeatedly becomes a belief. Your thoughts about self are creating how your mind and body feel. Your self talk is building your self worth. When you are having conversations with yourself, speak lovingly and be supportive with uplifting thoughts. Hold space for yourself with compassion and give yourself credit. Know the truth of how special and capable you are and let your thoughts reflect that.
