“Thoughts are mental energy; they are the currency you have to attract what you desire. You must learn to stop spending that currency on thoughts you don’t want, even though you may feel compelled to continue your habitual behavior.” ~ Dr. Wayne Dyer

We can be quite the creatures of habit, and habitual thinking is no exception. It is scientifically proven when we have the same thoughts over and over we create a groove in our brain, a path if you will, where these habitual thoughts can flow freely and easily. How to step a habitual thought? First awareness, then intention of the new thought, and then the mindfulness to change every time that other thought tries to sneak in.

Reminding you today, you can create a new path for a new way of thinking. Everything you create starts with intention and that includes how you choose to think. If you’re beating yourself up, rehashing old situations or projecting old thoughts to what’s happening now – Stop – and create a new intention of thought. Your thoughts create, and that is in your power.
